Print O' The Wave Stole

11/10/13: Note: I am going to have to stop where I am and re-skein and wash this yarn! The color is coming off on my fingers....rats, rats and more rats! (wondering where I put the Synthrapol)

I have had some yarn lurking in my stash for some time now that I purchased for a different project and then changed my mind about the project...Zephyr Silk/Wool from Jagger Spun in Peacock.

I decided it would make a gorgeous stole using Eunny Jang's Print O' The Wave pattern. I am of two minds about the grafted center though. I may or may not do the grafting.

Half-Pi Blocked

I got the half-pi shawl blocked a couple of days ago....only took me 23 days from start to blocking! I didn't have enough T-pins to pin out all the scallops at the same time so I just ran the blocking wires thru the center of each scallop. After it was dry I pinned out the scallops and steamed them a few at a time. The color of the shawl is closer to the first photo....I am no photo expert! Next time I block it I will have enough T-pins on hand to pin out the scallops while the shawl is wet from washing.

Half Circle Pi

I started another shawl the day I cast off Cat at the Seashore while on a trip out of state. There were 8 skeins of Manos Silk Blend lurking in my work room and I decided to start EZ 100th Anniversary Camping Half-Circle Shawl by Mwaa Knit.

I cast on the shawl on September 30th and I am now more than 50% done. I have plenty of yarn so I will add more repeats of Willow Leaves.

Ready to Block

I got the Pi Shawl off the needle while visiting our daughter out of state. Now all I need to do is wash and block it....when it quits raining that is.... It measures 49" across unblocked. I have decided to call this shawl Cat at the Seashore. It begins with Cat's Paw and continues with sea related lace patterns.
